On the other hand, there are some lovely Christmas songs. There is “Hark the Herald Angels Sing” and “It Arrived On a Midnight Very clear.” I also take enjoyment in realizing the inspiration behind Xmas music.

My favorite is “Mary, Did You Know?”

The song was written by a lesser-regarded musician at the time.

But following Dr. Jerry Falwell requested him to compose a Christmas plan in 1984 for the Thomas Street Baptist Church’s production of The Living Christmas Tree, Mark Lowry became popular. He is now a properly-known Christian comedian and musician, also owing to his tenure with the Gaither Vocal Band.

According to reviews and interviews, he struggled to capture the awe and surprise of the first Xmas when the Babe was born.

He pondered and battled writer’s block until his mother, Bev, supplied him with the inspiration he sought.

She told her son that if everyone realized Jesus was born from a virgin, it was Mary, and her silence at the cross when He died was proof. Which is all he required, and shortly his mate, Buddy Greene, place the song to audio.

I never know how I would respond. I’m thankful my sons are godly adult men who are responsible. But I know this is not the situation for each parent. Some children’s steps have delighted their mom and dad although other folks did not fulfill anticipations.
