Volvo, Daimler CEOs praised for leading push to computerize automobiles

If a list was remaining produced of the most visionary CEOs in the automotive industry Elon Musk would certainly be on it.

Signing up for the Tesla manager at the prime of the ranking would be two European automobile bosses: Volvo’s Hakan Samuelsson and Daimler’s Ola Kallenius.

That is the comments Automotive News Europe acquired when we questioned the head of a top know-how supplier to identify the automobile makers other than Tesla that were being doing the best task transforming their businesses into program powerhouses.

“I believe Hakan and Ola are the most aggressive and the most determined to just take their corporations to the next chapter,” the government explained, preferring to continue being nameless due to the fact his company functions with most automakers and he didn’t want to show up to be actively playing favorites.

The govt praised Samuelsson’s “refreshing thoughts” and his means to discover “so deeply and so promptly.”

“He acknowledges that the automotive business desires to grow to be a know-how business not a machinery sector,” the executive additional.

Kallenius, 51, who like Samuelsson, 69, is a native of Sweden, gained praise for embracing the choices that computerizing the auto provides.

Claimed the government: “The two of them will without doubt triumph in this transition.”
