Dec. 10 (UPI) — The Trump administration on Thursday sanctioned 17 officials of China, Jamaica and other overseas governments, accusing them of committing gross human rights violations.
The slew of designations arrived on Human Rights Working day, which has been observed yearly on Dec. 10 in recognition of the working day in 1948 that the United Nations Typical Assembly adopted the Common Declaration of Human Legal rights.
U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo reported in a statement the office designated Huang Yuanxiong, head of China’s Xiamen Community Security Bureau Wucun Law enforcement Station, for his committing “serious violations of spiritual flexibility of Falun Gong practitioners.”
Pompeo claimed he is accused of currently being associated in the detention and interrogation of those people who stick to the religious motion.
