Danish put up-black metallic job Myrkur has produced a new one termed “Dronning Ellisiv” via Relapse Documents. The music was recorded for the duration of the Folksenange album classes.
“Dronning Ellisiv” is a reimagining of a track by Harald Foss, an artist recognised for outdated Norweigan people songs. It is an aged Nordic tale about the Grand Prince Yaroslav of Novgorod and his daughter Ellsiv, who would later marry King Harald of Norway and turn out to be Queen Consort of Norway in the 1040’s.
The keep track of starts with a smooth, repetitive string and piano melody just before Amalie Bruun’s significant-pitched, echoey voice will come in. The song builds and results in being very layered with lush instrumentations as it moves toward the refrain. It layers melodic vocals, strings, guitars, piano to produce a cinematic, ethereal piece of music.
Myrkur launched her hottest album, Folkesange, in March. Shortly before the album arrived out, she introduced the song “Gudernes Vilje,” which translates to “Will of the Gods.” In June, she collaborated with Anna von Hausswolff to deal with Björk’s tune “All Is Whole Of Enjoy.”
In September, Brutal Assault Pageant announced its 2021 lineup, which options Myrkur, Devin Townsend, and Phil H. Anselmo & The Illegals. In October, Myrkur teamed up with the iconic video clip game sequence The Sims to release a new recording of “Onde Børn,” which was on her debut studio album M. The new version is sung in Simlish, the fictional character spoken by the figures in the video game.
