MDC Hialeah Campus Presents “Stories of the Natural and Unnatural World”


Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Hialeah Campus offers “Tales of the Organic and Unnatural Earth“, an art show curated by Noor Blazekovic and featuring artist Jeanne Jaffe opening Monday, Oct. 3, by Monday, Dec. 5. There will be an opening reception on Thursday, Oct. 6, from 4 – 9 p.m. The opening and exhibition are cost-free and open to the public by appointment only.

Jaffe is a multi-disciplinary artist doing work in installation, sculpture, and quit motion animation. Her function is motivated by an desire in language, literature, psychology, and historical past and explores how we build id, our environment and our worth programs. She is Professor Emeritus of Fantastic Arts at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She is the recipient of fellowship grants from the Gottlieb Basis, the Nationwide Endowment for the Arts, the Mid Atlantic/NEA. the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts amid others.

Jaffe’s operates have been exhibited nationally and internationally at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fantastic Art Museum, the Seokdang Museum of Art in Korea, Doral Artwork Museum, Coral Springs Museum of Artwork, Delaware Artwork Museum, Hillwood Art Museum, Mino Washi Ikari. Museum in Japan, Michener Artwork Museum, The Royal Scottish Academy of Edinburgh, Scotland, Girl’s Club in Fort Lauderdale, IS Jobs, Hollywood Art and Lifestyle Heart, and the Arts Warehouse. Her perform has been reviewed thoroughly, which include in Art in The united states, the New York Periods, and Sculpture Journal.

Her work is bundled in non-public and community collections in Pennsylvania Academy of Art Museum, Philadelphia, Pa., Zimmerli Artwork Museum in New Brunswick, N.J, the Francie Bishop Good and David Horvitz Selection in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. the Abington Sculpture Backyard garden, Abington, Pa., Rutgers Heart for Modern Printmaking, New Brunswick, N.J, and Museum of Ceramics at Alfred College in Alfred, N.Y.
