John Bommarito shares the top milestones of Bommarito Automotive Group

John Bommarito is undoubtedly one of the top personalities in the automotive industry. He is a notable name in the sector with decades of experience. John’s passion for the automotive industry dates back to his teenage years. He was born into an automotive family that takes pride in a solid and continuous work ethic. At twelve, John was already parking and washing new and preowned car deliveries. He has grown to live up to his family heritage, and he is now a highly celebrated individual in the global automotive industry. 

John was named winner of the “President Clubs,” a prestigious honor for outstanding sales and service awards from franchises like Ford, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Infiniti, Volkswagen and Toyota. The Bommarito Automotive Group is also the top-rated #1 dealership of choice in Missouri for all consumer automotive needs.

Since its establishment over 50 years ago, Bommarito Automotive Group’s success has gradually reached its current levels of success. Some of the group’s current milestones include an unprecedented relationship formed with Gateway Motorsports Park in Madison, Illinois. A multi-year agreement was designed with Gateway Motorsports Park Owner and CEO Curtis Francois and John, Bommarito Automotive Group’s president. For the first time in many years, this agreement and sponsorship brought back excitement and enthusiasm for world-class racing in the St. Louis region, along with a truly international event.  

The Bommarito Automotive Group 500 was announced at the 2017 St. Louis Auto Show. The inaugural INDYCAR Series Event, with Bommarito Automotive Group as the title sponsor, brought the now formally named WWT and Gateway Motorsports Park all of the cars and stars of the Indianapolis 500. It also brought America’s best drivers and competitors from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, France, Japan, New Zealand, Spain, United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom. This truly unprecedented partnership is just the beginning of things to come and already has over a 50 million dollar economic impact each year in the St. Louis bi-state region. In November 2017, John was also nominated and appointed one of the directors of the St. Louis Sports Commission.

In 2018 he also started a NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series team with
driver/ owner Jordan Anderson. Over the next few years this grew to adding a the #31 Xfinity Team to the portfolio of Auto Sport Assets. With Jordan driving the number three Bommarito Chevrolet Silverado, and in 2022 Myatt Snider Driving the #31 Bommarito Chevrolet Camaro which is located in Statesville, North Carolina, just a stone’s throw away from Nascar Capital of the world (Mooresville), all have flourished and grown. 

In 2019, the Bommarito Automotive Group IndyCar series quickly grew to the 3rd largest attended race. At the same time, John has been nationally recognized by Indy Car for his exclusive “Audience Enhancement Program” that has taken the Bommarito 500 to record attendance in the St. Louis region. In 2022, the huge success of the Bommarito 500 at WWT raceway caught the eye of Nascar key management and in 2022 he became an influential factor in conjunction with Curtis Francois, owner of WWT Raceway, to secure the very 1st Nascar Cup Series Race set for June of 2022.

The St Louis and Illinois Regions, as well as race fans from all over the world, enjoy the world class racing in John’s hometown at WWT Raceway. This is a huge win for a community that John personally takes so much pride in representing, living, working and raising his family.
