Drake Regulation Faculty, Iowa Point out Public Defender announce new wrongful convictions clinic

Drake Regulation University and the Iowa Condition General public Defender collaborated to create a new Wrongful Convictions Clinic in Des Moines established to begin in January 2021, Drake Regulation University introduced in a Friday news release.

The new clinic will be led by the Condition General public Defender’s Wrongful Convictions Division, and pupil lawyers will “stand for people today convicted of significant felony crimes in Iowa in publish-conviction proceedings to create their precise innocence,” the information release states.
