Could this be the new way for us to shop independently?

The fashion world is home to an ever-growing roster of new brands to discover and support, but sometimes it can be a hard task knowing exactly where to find them. It was this quandary that sparked Noëmie Haverhals to start Avail, a social shopping app that helps connect consumers to rising independent brands.

“Avail is all about a community of new generation customers who inspire each other with offering styling options and curations,” CEO and founder Haverhals told Bazaar. “Avail truly believes in the power of the new generation. The new customer is craving fresh and authentic brands more than ever and Avail connects them with these young brands.”

Since its launch this summer, 30,000 consumers have downloaded the app, which offers access to over 150 independent fashion brands, supporting labels with locally rooted culture and design. Given the impact of Covid-19 on independent and small businesses, there has never been a better time to be more considered when it comes to deciding which brands we invest in.

Avail provides a destination for customers to be part of a fashion community, while catering to changing behaviours towards shopping. It also enables users to curate shopping moodboards which they can then share with others.

“The way customers shop has changed dramatically,” says Haverhals. “Fashion shouldn’t be intimidating, not in the way it’s portrayed, neither in access. Avail caters to this new generation customers who are looking for brands that tell a story and cherish the same values they do. We want to give these consumers a platform where they can curate what they like and inspire others by doing so.”

With Christmas just a month away, Avail could be the perfect destination to start your festive shopping.

The Avail app is available in the App Store and Google Play or via Avail.store.
