
FORT WALTON Beach — Xmas for 600 youngsters and their households in Okaloosa and Walton counties will be brighter this calendar year many thanks to the Christmas Relationship Angel Tree Toy Store Method.

The toys were procured by residents of Okaloosa and Walton counties, who picked names off of one of the Angel Trees put in the local community.

Abby Milner with the Fort Walton Beach Salvation Army. “But this is a good way to help all those in our local community that could not have the money to go out and purchase a Christmas for their young children.”
Young mother Kailie Irby, who was at the Salvation Army on Wednesday to select out toys for her 3 young children, echoed that sentiment.

“It will make a large variation,” Irby said. “This is fundamentally what I have for them. If it wasn’t for this, the young ones wouldn’t have a Xmas.”
Milner explained there ended up about 150 volunteers involved in putting on the two-day celebration.
“We just want to say a enormous thank you to anyone in our local community, all of the donors, all of the volunteers who’ve arrive,” said Milner. “We just can’t do any of this by ourselves.”
