Bob Weir and Wolf Bros Prepare New Year’s Eve Concert Stream

Founding Grateful Useless guitarist-vocalist Bob Weir will bid farewell to 2020 with his team Wolf Bros through a New Year’s Eve livestream.

The gig, which he’ll enjoy at his Bay Spot TRI Studios, will be broadcast on the Admirers system at 10 p.m. EST on December 31st and will be followed by a 10 p.m. PST broadcast. Tickets are readily available on the streaming service’s web site.

“We’re back and we’re in this article to gentle y’all up,” Weir explained in a statement.

Weir fashioned his Wolf Bros trio in 2018 with Don Was, the Rolling Stones producer who applied to complete in Was (Not Was), on bass, and Jay Lane, of Weir’s team RatDog, on drums. For the overall performance, they’ll be joined by pianist Jeff Chimenti, who has played in RatDog and Dead and Enterprise, and pedal-steel guitarist Greg Leisz, who has recorded with Beck, John Mayer, and Joni Mitchell, among lots of other people.

Weir and Wolf Bros were supposed to tour in 2020 but canceled their plans in late April when the preliminary wave of Covid-19 mounted its initial peak. “The wellbeing, nicely-staying, and security of anyone in our live music neighborhood proceeds to be our priority,” the trio reported jointly in a assertion at the time. “We thank you for your ongoing being familiar with, help, and appreciate. We can’t hold out to get back on the highway doing for all of you as quickly as we safely can!”

A number of weeks prior to that, as lockdowns were starting off to get position, Weir shared his quarantine training playlist, which involved tunes by Billie Eilish, Jimi Hendrix, Lizzo, and Halsey, amongst some others.
