Architecture and interior design professionals from around the country selected the top finalists in 53 categories in Austin Home’s first Home & Design Awards, presented by Keller Williams. The 142 finalist entries represent work completed between September 2018 and August 2020 by 63 area firms. One final category remains to be judged. Readers will select the Best Overall Home by voting online for one of the finalists of the home architecture and interior design categories. Voting is open now at austinmonthly.com/besthomevoting through Dec. 31.
The winners will be published in the Spring 2021 issue of Austin Home and announced at a virtual awards ceremony to be held in February. Details of the event will be released soon.
Topping the list with 12 finalist selections is BANDD Design. Amity Worrell & Co. has seven finalist nominations, Urbanspace Interiors has six, and Dick Clark + Associates Architecture + Interiors, Hey Now Interiors, and Scheer & Co. Interior Design each have five. Twenty-nine other firms are finalists for more than one entry.
Judges of the competition included Netflix’s Queer Eye interior design guru Bobby Berk, HGTV star Nicole Curtis, interior designers Allison Crawford, Kayla Cooper, Barrie Spang, and Lee Starke, as well as architects Brad Engelsman and Kinley Puzey.
