The votes are in, and nine new automobiles are now finalists for the coveted 2021 North American Auto, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the Yr awards.

Jury voting for the finalists was tallied and audited by Deloitte in Detroit. Now, the calendar year-very long system attracts to a close, with a vote planned for January. After that vote, the winners will be announced Jan. 11, 2021.

Automakers confronted a harder problem this calendar year getting the 50 jurors, automotive journalists of all media from the United States and Canada, to check their cars, he reported.
The jury goes through a few rounds of voting and evaluates innovation, style and design, security, handling, driver gratification and value for the greenback.
