Maine Community announces retirement of Beck, vice president for radio and television written content

LEWISTON — Maine Public announces that Maine Public’s longtime Vice President for  Radio and Tv Content, Charles Beck, is stepping down this January soon after a 40-calendar year occupation with the  network.  

After graduating with a double main in Broadcasting and Tunes at the College of Maine and a temporary stint in  commercial radio, in 1980 Beck discovered a house as a reporter, announcer and classical songs host with what was termed  then MPBN Radio. 

In people early decades, Beck took on numerous producer and host obligations, which include Midday, Evening Live performance, Afternoon  Concert, Early morning Classical Music and Audio from Studio B, amid others. Beck was also instrumental in establishing  other musical formats at the community, such as New Age with Earthtones (later on replaced by Echoes) and the singer songwriter format with Often Acoustic (that advanced into In Tune with Sara Willis).
